Inclusivity, no matter where you are: introducing Sweeply multilingual support
Imagine you’re a housekeeping team leader.
You’ve got some new team members, and they’re amazing. Quick, efficient, great attention to detail, excellent at prioritizing their workloads. Plus, they’re approachable and friendly to boot.
There’s just one problem: they don’t all speak the same language. While Google Translate is always there to help, communication is starting to cause a bottleneck that you simply can’t afford to have. After all, you work in hospitality - our industry isn’t exactly known for its slow, relaxed pace, is it?
You need to keep things as efficient as possible and minimize frustrations for your team - but how?
Well, we’ve got just the solution: drumroll please…
Introducing Sweeply’s new multilingual support feature 😎
We believe that managing tasks across housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk teams should be as easy as possible. And as our user base continues to grow internationally, we recognize the need for a more inclusive platform - which is why we’re excited to introduce a feature that makes Sweeply more accessible and user-friendly for global teams.
With this latest update, Sweeply now supports multiple languages across its web application and mobile app, which helps teams work more efficiently and communicate without friction. Let’s find out more.
How Sweeply’s multilingual support works
We’ve designed our multilingual feature to be as intuitive as possible. Here’s how it works:
Manual selection: users can choose their preferred language directly in Sweeply’s settings.
Automatic detection: If a user hasn’t selected a language, Sweeply will detect their device’s language settings and apply them automatically.
Scalability: our backend is built to accommodate new languages easily, so we can continue expanding support without making major changes.
This means users can work in the language they’re most comfortable with, without having to take extra steps or undertake a complicated setup process.
Think back to the housekeeping team lead we just spoke about. With this feature, their team knows exactly what they have to do and when without spending extra time translating or worrying about potential misunderstandings.
Why we built multilingual support
At Sweeply, we’re always looking for ways to improve usability. As we expand into new markets, we want to make sure our platform is accessible to as many people as possible. Multilingual support was a natural next step in that journey.
Why does this matter?
Many of our users work in diverse, multilingual environments.
Seamless communication improves productivity and reduces mistakes.
A platform that adapts to users’ languages makes onboarding and daily use easier - which, in turn, boosts engagement and workflow efficiency.
This update is about making Sweeply work better for everyone, no matter where they are in the world or what language they speak.
The problems multilingual support solves for users
By supporting multiple languages, Sweeply is removing barriers and making task management more efficient. Here’s how this update benefits users:
Accessibility: non-English speakers can now navigate the platform with ease.
Efficiency: users no longer need to rely on external translation tools, reducing friction and saving time.
Collaboration: teams spread across different regions can communicate more effectively.
Client-facing work: hospitality teams can interact with customers and guests in their preferred language, improving service quality.
Getting started
Getting started with Sweeply’s multilingual support is super easy (like, ahem, all of the Sweeply product):
Go to your settings and navigate to the ‘Language’ section in the bottom left corner.
Select your preferred language - you’ll see a list of available options to choose from.
Enjoy! Your settings will update immediately.
If you haven’t manually selected a language, Sweeply will automatically apply your device’s language settings. Clever, right?

Supported languages & what’s coming up
Sweeply now supports the following languages:

English
Spanish
Icelandic
German
French
Italian
Ukrainian
Polish
Portuguese
Brazilian Portuguese
And we’re not stopping there! We’re also working on a feature that will translate user-generated content, as well as that of the Sweeply app, which will make communication even smoother across multilingual teams.
Say goodbye to inefficiencies and misunderstandings, and hello to a global team that’s able to work with ease - no matter how many languages its members speak.
